Why are the Harry Potter Audiobook CDs Unveiled?

When the Harry Potter audiobook CDs were first leaked, many collectors were disappointed because they wanted to own a physical CD copy rather than listen to it on their iPod. The collector’s edition, released in September 2011, includes an audio disc, a booklet with artwork and scans of the original manuscript pages, and a special collectable box. The art reveals scenes from the entire series that were not included in the films.

The audio discs have been digitally remastered and include 13 hours of music, plus bonus features such as commentary by actors Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes. Parts three through seven contain six recordings each, with Evanna Lynch reading part three, Michael Gambon reading part four, Bonnie Wright reading part five, Jim Broadbent reading part six, Robbie Coltrane reading part seven, and acted by Daniel Radcliffe for parts eight and nine.

Fans who purchase this set will also receive a replica of Hagrid’s First Book of Spells, which is not included in any other version of the audiobooks.
